Guest guest
You can get oral or topical (gentium violet, I think) medication for thrush, but when I had a go around with it as a result of powerful antibiotics and no food for a bust appendix, I found that chewing an acidophilus tablet cleared it right up. Might work, might not, but you might give it a try. Could even take a couple of doses. Dora To: asthma Sent: Monday, August 8, 2011 4:44 PMSubject: Thrush I need help Dear group, I have thrush. The back of my throat is scratchy and red. My palate and tongue are coated with a whitish color. I was given a 5 day prescription of diflucan. Amazing after taking the first tablet I felt relieve. The thrush did not go away completely but the scratchy feeling did. I read that the diflucan still worked after you hadtaken all of the prescription. Now six days later, I still have thrush. Has anyone had thrush. It is annoying and feels bad. Is it contagious? How long does it last I recently took a PFT test. During one of the tests you need to breathe albuterol from a nebulizer. I haven't used albuterol in 9 months. I did not rinse my mouth after. Could the albuterol have caused it. Thanks donachi39
Guest guest
Dora, Isn't Genetian violet purple and stains. How do you apply it to your throat. I used topical genetian violet for my dog when she had ear infections. You can chew acidophilus tablets, how many and what strength. Are they bitter? Thanks I'll try these. donachi39 Mon, Aug 8, 2011 at 6:45 PM, Dora wrote: You can get oral or topical (gentium violet, I think) medication for thrush, but when I had a go around with it as a result of powerful antibiotics and no food for a bust appendix, I found that chewing an acidophilus tablet cleared it right up. Guest guest
Duh! I need to proof-read! I find drinking pineapple juice really helps with getting rid of oral thrush. I usually drink a few glasses a day and it clears up completely in a few days. >I have always found pineapple useful for thrush...
