Guest guest
Dirk, I am so happy that you are getting all this good care. The Psychiatrist knows about those Antipsychotic meds with heart Disease. I am glad they are going to start from scratch with you. You don't need any extra stress on your heart. I am taking Cardizem which has cut back on my irregular heart beats a lot. But, I must have a different kind of arrhythmia than you do, because mine doesn't cause me to faint. I have two leaking valves, Mitral and Tricuspid, but they are not bad enough for surgery, either. I also have Right Bundle Branch Block. Which isn't considered dangerous, except in older women. I don't know why, but that is what my Merck's Medical Manual says. I have Supra Ventricular Tachycardia, too. I have had angina for years, from spastic arteries, which was caught on three different occasions by the doctors. Cardizem does help now. I do hope you get all these heart things regulated, so that the LBD can be cared for. It is a careful balancing act that has to be done in your situation, as in my husband's, situation. Your Doctors are going about it correctly and for that I am relieved for you. Be happy, and continue to write as you so generously do. We want to hear all you have to say. Imogene Caregiver for my True Texas Gentleman husband of 35 years. He said all of my valves are leaking. But not to the point I need valve replacement. I also have irregular heartbeats and angina. He has identified my blacking out spells as heart related syncope. He put me on a medication Atenolol which will fix the problem. He said it is non-psychotropic and should cause me no problems with other meds or LBD. We will see. I see the psychiatrist May 16th who is taking me off of all of my meds except for heart and I see my neurologist May 23rd for my MRI and EEG results. I already know the MRI came out normal. However the hospital will not release the EEG results to me. They say they are being held pending the doctors authorization to release. Hmmmm. Thats all for now .
