Guest guest Posted October 13, 2008 Report Share Posted October 13, 2008 I am trying to save a few family heirlooms, but I am not sure the antique person knows what he is talking about. A couple of pieces can be taken apart, sanded down and resealed, but he said the areas on some pieces could be cleaned and sprayed with shalac (sp) and if there was any mold it would seal the wood and the mold spores would never come out again.
