Guest guest
It only served as a " raw material " to make the pill. Its molecular structure had to be modified and as such one could say it had nothing to do with diosgenin any longer... When the cause of infertility is due to hormonal imbalance, dioscorea as far as my experience goes, can be used as one of the ingredients and indirectly help to achieve hormonal balance and fertility... Guest guest
Hi katherine, I know you have had several responses to this but I have used the tincture in several cases of fertility and every woman without exception has fallen pregnant! It's great for balancing hormones, but I also tend to include Asparagus Racemosa as well as a few other key herbs. As others have mentioned, do not get bogged down on the diosgenin apsect, isolating the constituent and then manipulating it in the lab to make the contraceptive pill. Please reassure your patient to continue its use. Cheers > > Dear List > > I have been including Dioscorea in a main mix for a px with fertility issues (inc fibroids and sometime compromised tubes).
