Guest guest
Listmates, I was pretty excited to hear about how MCT oil was helping kids and adults with seizures by giving - depending on the size and weight of the individual - up to 1 Tablespoon 2x day. I thought I would pass on the information for anyone who may be struggling with seizures. In addition, when it’s paired with the SCD diet, it can be even more effective. This information is from a personal testimony of someone I know who has a clinic in Mexico. SCD shares a lot of similarities to the ketogenic diet, which has been used for seizure control for years. Here is some research: http://www.epilepsy.com/epilepsy/keto_news_august07 http://www.mynchen.demon.co.uk/Ketogenic_diet/Supplements/MCT_oil.htm The MCT explained http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/articlerender.fcgi?artid=1778211 http://www.neurology.org/cgi/content/abstract/35/2/237 New Beginnings has a good MCT product which is high quality and inexpensive. This product can sometimes be hard to find. http://www.nbnus.net/shopexd.asp?id=134 Hoping this is helpful.
