Guest guest
Yes, I did those labs when I was just beginning to bring my dose of Armour up a bit. I had just upped it to 30 mgs when those were done and had had to unexpectedly terminate ALL the T4 dose, due to allergy to the acacia in the brand that I had. I'm now at 60 mgs/day/divided doses/30 mgs/twice daily. Seems like every time I try to bring it up to 90 mgs for 2 or 3 days, I start having strange things happen, so I've kicked it back 2 wks in a row back to 60 a day. Since I was taking 100 mcgs levoxyl for the last 5-6 yrs, and before that $ynthroid 100 mcgs for about 4 yrs, I figured the Armour at about 90-120 mgs would be my eventual steady dose. It's just taking more time to get there than I thought it would. I'm not a young chick, so my body is not used to all that direct T3, I suspect. It was more used to all the synthetic poison I guess, but I was constantly ill. The way I feel has improved in many ways, but I still have further to go. After all, it's only been a little over a couple of months since I made this change. I believe that it will be worth it. I'll have those labs run again in a couple of months, though I don't think it will be looking perfect then either, but probably better than the last ones did. Other than feeling better as a reason, I want that TSH to stop stimulating my thyroid because as it does so, it makes more likely activation of any factors that might be there to form a cancer cell. The goiter, which is small, but nagging, I've been keeping under wraps with the ibuprophen. Oh yes, , I'm waiting for the mail to get my bovine adrenals from the folks at Nutri-Meds. It should be getting here any day now. That could be, not sure, why I'm having trouble upping my thyroid dose. I'm not waiting on adrenal testing though, to initiate treatment. I'll just do that the way I've been doing with the Armour----nice and slow. I have a feeling that's half the problem. I'm praying for patience because I'm like everybody else----I want to feel good right now. The " tinglies " or something like electrical current----I think it's like electrical signals that are so screwed up, it's something like the sezures in epilepsy----current going wild! And to me that would be whether we're hyper or hypo, it's still messed up. Re: Vibration in Body > I wonder then, if for some, those tinglies also happen if your labs are > showing hypo. Guest guest
That or the signals just continue to go wild until everything is a little short of perfect (we don't know when that will be do we?). I've had EKGs run and everything short of an MRI (don't have the money for that one). It's as says, it's when I lay down. Sometimes it's there, other times it's not. It kind of reminds me of laying down with a train running on a track close to your home, you can only feel it when laying down. I've taken my pulse during that time, and it's never up, it's always right on 72. The only time my pulse change is when I had to drop the T4 med altogether and was waiting for the Armour to come in. Even then, it was only 68. So weird. Re: Vibration in Body Nerve Damage?
Guest guest
, a thought..... Since T3 is 95 percent used up in the body in 4 hours... perhaps if you split your doses into 3..... taking 30 mg 3 times a day.... your body would still be getting the same 'hit' of T3 at each dose, you've been able to tolerate that... you'd just be adding another dose.... it would be easier on your system.. and level out your T3 better... It was the trick that helped me... I'm dosing at 4 times per day on both thyroid and adrenal. Sunday, when I set up my pill box again, I'll be adding another thyroid dose per day. I'm doing well now, but would like to see if I can handle another half grain per day. That would bring me up to a total of 2 1/2 grain per day. Guest guest
You've got me thinking... I wonder if it's linked to a low grade anxiety thing.... Adrenals, when weak, don't kick in until late in the day... could it be an mild adrenal buzz that we don't feel until all is quiet and we are at rest, like when getting ready to go to sleep? Right after my RAI is when I kicked Caffeine. I've learned since then that I probably used caffeine to make up for exhausted adrenals. So that would make perfect sense.. I was doing more that a case of Mountain Dew a day during my storm while at work and then more at night, plus water..... mild adrenal buzz fits that scenario...... Guest guest
Makes sense actually, my therapist I see for my depression says that my body is going 100 miles per hour due to my thyroid and all of a sudden when I am trying to wind down my body says no and goes into overdrive sort of like my physical body stops for the day while my internal thoughts, actions are not ready to sleep HAHA > You've got me thinking... Guest guest
I still have 'problems' with my mind not shutting off at bed time. That is one of the reasons that I do my exercises while listening to the oldies radio shows.... I can get in tune with my body while my mind can mellow on the stories..... I wonder if that has been helping me a bit, too, with falling asleep so well now? Guest guest
That's what I did when I added the 3rd 30 mg dose. I took one dose at 6 pm, on rising, then one at 2 am (while working), then again at 8 am before sleeping. It wasn't every 4 hrs, rather every 6 hrs, so I really don't know what's going on there. If I still had the 15 mg doses, I think I would add that instead, but I can't seem to get an " unpulverized " dose from 1/4 of a 60 mg Armour. I know that it needs to go up, but when I try 30 mgs 3 times a day, everything seems to " speed up " in an uncomfortable way. I'm sure that I really need the adrenal testing, so that i can be absolutely sure. Re: Vibration in Body > , a thought..... Guest guest
I know that the adrenals have everything to do with the autonomic nervous system, which is responds to slow things down, during a time that we're supposed to be winding down and relaxing, and again speeds things up when we need to respond. Again, fight or flight syndrome. They try to send us to psychs over that and throw antidepressants and tranquilizers at us to calm it all down, thinking it's all emotions, but it's the body that's tired of the stress, not the mind. That's my opinion, from everything I've seen, read, and experienced. Re: Vibration in Body You've got me thinking... I wonder if it's linked to a low grade anxiety thing.... Guest guest
So you've already tried that, good.... does sound like tired adrenals.....
