So last Monday we went to UCSF and Dr. Gupta said he would take her

case, would be on vacation for a week and would get in touch with her

nsg here. I also let her current neurosurgeon here know how it went.

Last Tuesday called the neurosurgery clinic and asked if Maddy could be

seen and or given intermitent diamox. They said no they were waiting

for callback from UCSF and wouldnt see her or give diamox so her

pediatrician wrote for a med that was an antihistamine that he said has

helped some people with headaches and stimulate appetites so we tried

it. She slept all the time and her headaches and appetite didnt

improve. I called the pediatricians office and asked if we can stop the

med and if I could give her itermitent diamox until Dr. Gupta is back

next monday and her pediatrician doesnt feel comfortable giving her

diamox and to call neurosurgery. I explained to him that they refuse to

see her and wont write for it. So if she is like this tomorrow I am

taking her to the er,the good part is her pediatrician is the in house

dr @hospital. I am so frustrated because I feel like Maddy is beng

punished because we got another opinion and we don't know how long it

will be before we go to UCSF again. The lortab isnt even helping her

pain and the wont even see her to give her anything stronger. Please

keep Maddy in your prayers.
