, I am sorry to hear that you are going through this rough time, but I am really impressed by your positive attitude, and by the leads you've already gotten on a new job. Everything in your post shows what a remarkable person you are, and how very much you have to offer an employer. I hope you find something soon, maybe even better than the job you had before :)Becca

, fantastic attitude. So sorry about work, so odd and confusing, when you

have been a good employee.

Good luck in getting new work, I hope it comes around swiftly for you.

:)

permanently as of Friday, August 19th. The president and vice-president of the

company said letting me go was one of the hardest decisions they made recently.

Both people said they enjoyed having me work at the company. They both said

that I did everything that was requested of them (and there's things I did they

don't even know about that made the company better as well).

well, and realize that this is a bad time to be unemployed in this economy.

However, when one door closes, another door opens - yes, even in this economy. I

have a positive attitude that has carried me through the roughest of times

(including when I was dx'd with AS back in 2007), that will carry me through

this time in my life.

know anyone as I just moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee from Indianapolis a few

months earlier. Now, I have developed a pretty good sized network in the local

autism community -- in addition to my friends outside that community. I have no

doubt that I will find employment. The jobs are out there, regardless of what

anyone says. It's not about what you know or who you know, but who knows you.

and could go all across the board. So much so, that she thought I could work as

a paralegal for a law firm. Another friend of mine who owns a biofuel company

told me about this one place will be giving training to unemployed and

underemployed people in the environmental area here locally. So, there are

options out there. And it all started with my desire to build an autism

community and become involved with autism advocacy here. I can see why now of

the importance of building a network of support.

Thanks Becca. People with AS can often make the most loyal of employees,

because that's just how we are. I am doing well with autism advocacy here in

Chattanooga - and continue to build momentum. I can see how much of a

difference I have made in a few people's lives already, just from seeing the

grateful and thankful looks on their faces. Just from realizing how much they

truly care for knowing someone gave them an opportunity to reach out to other

like-minded individuals in the autism community here.

All I need to do is promote, promote, promote this one online autism to the

local autism community here. I believe the site will catch on with a lot of

people in community.

Thanks again,

Thanks Helen.... things are well otherwise, and I found another potential lead

at an autism meeting this evening.
