Guest guest
Cassie Sorry I spelled it wrong......pneumonia vaccine same idea as flu vaccine but for pheumonia. I'm sure you're Dr's have recommended this to you....many on this group have them and here is where I heard about it. Now that I have sp. it correctly you may have already had yours...Apparently, you do not get one every year not sure how it works exactly but when I asked the Specialist (I'm just turning 57) she said to get one now and another one when I turn 65 that is if she was looking at my file....sometimes I wondered as she would give me someone elses history at the start of my app't....lol.....If you want to know more I will ask my Dr. on Thursday what the scoop is......however, he wouldn't give it to me because of the gunk in my lungs, if that is the case very few of us will be able to have one......Guess it is live pneumonia culture they inject same as the flu vaccine is so that your immune system can build resistance to it.......just my best guess. Good Health to Everyone To , Wow, that sounds frustrating but I'm glad that dr. is finally going to send you to a team to get to the bottom of your disease! By the way, what is a phenonia vaccine and what does it do? Hope you're feeling well, Cassie
