They just opened up a Curves right by my house. Can someone tell me a little

more about it? I have heard that there are " stations " but I don't quite

understand. Do they have treadmills and all of that stuff? Also, I know rates

vary

according to the area, but can someone tell me about how much they paid

monthly? I am wondering if it would be worth it for me to check it out. Thanks!

:)

, I really don't know much about the place, but what I can tell

you is that one of my co-workers belongs to Curves, and she loves

it! She has lost about 20 lbs, and has developed a healthy way of

thinking.

I've never been there, but they usually have like a week free special.

There's one around the corner from me and I peeked in--well, had to actually go in, 'cuz the windows are all covered.

All you do there is weights. I think there's like 8 or 10 stations and you do each one for like 30 seconds and then go to the next one. It's all choreographed and it'll tell you when to move to the next one. Then you keep going until you've finished your 30 minutes. If you have to wait for the next station to be free, there's a waiting pad or something that you can do things while you wait. Tory, who lost 110 pounds while going there, does running in place and stuff like that.

Not sure how much it costs, I think the folks on the WW boards averaged around $30-40/mo.
