Guest guest
Hi Becky, I agree completely with Kristy and Darlene. I haven't quit reached the time of even preschool. However, the mom's group I was in this last fall over at our Church never knew Chase had DS (still haven't tested for MDS), and were completely blown away when I told them our story one day. Our Church offers a preschool class at 2yrs old, and I will more than likely take him there, maybe even volunteer some. But a friend of mine who introduced me to this group, she has an 11yr old girl named Faith. The Church's preschool was the only one in the county that would take Faith when she was 3yr. I'm planning on taking Chase to the Church because I already know the people there, but you might want to check with all the local Churches in your area, they might offer something like that. If you feel comfortable telling them up front about Austin having MDS, then you'll know if you are, but you don't have to tell them. Good luck, praying for you, Lyndsay .
