Hi group,

I need to know if anyone has experienced there loved one jerking? My mom has

started little jerks from time to time. I also tried to explain to her about

her disease. When I was done I asked her for a kiss and put my lips to her and

she was able to kiss me. Do you think that is an indication that she understood

anything I said? She is sleeping more and eating less. What does the mottling

look like? I'm not sure if i'm seing it or not. Please pray that the Lord would

be good too her and spare her pain. And mine!

Love to all,

Lynn

Lynn S,,

I sure know what you mean about your Mom not being there for you and yet you

find yourself taking such good care of her.

I had a similar problem. Mom was so critical all my life. I did take care of

her. (Not sure if I forgave her! LOL) But I did it for my Dad who had died

lots earlier and would have taken very good care of her as he had me all my

life. I use to say " Dad would never have forgiven me for not taking care of

her. " Yet I know I did it for myself.

And you are right, it isn't her fault, but I sometimes wondered why I was doing

it.

Lots of hugs,

Caregave for Mom (after I brought her from WI to MI) for 3 years and 4th year in

She was almost 89 when she died in '02. No dx other than mine.

Moms condition

Thank you group for your input about what signs to look for on my moms body .

That helps me. She does have the P that goes with the LBD.

Well today was a hard time for me. I had to report for jury duty this

morning. Dave went to stay at moms for a while since he didn't have to work

till noon. He thought my mom was on her last hours and here I am stuck at court!

God is good! I got out of it by noon . They didn't need my group. I rushed

over to see her and she was actually eating what was being fed to her. She was

still in outer space but her eyes were wide open. Go figure!!! I guess God is

using this roller coaster time to transform something in me but I hate it. She

has had weird BM's 4 yesturday and at least 2 today. I think maybe things are

shutting down. What do you think? I am worn out. I cry a lot. My mother wasn't

there for me when she should have been, yet I know she didn't know any better.

She loved me inspite of her inability to take care of me during difficult times

in my life. But I forgive her for she knew not what she did. I love her and I

am there for her whatever happens. I

want to be there for her when she passes. I didn't even get to say goodbye to

my dad. I guess this is my way to deal with the pain.Or is being there sadistic

on my part. Any way tomorrow is another day in Lewyland.

I appreciate everyone of you and wish I could thank you all in person and

maybe someday I can!

God Bless,

Lynn S.

p.s. Some people go to Disnyland for fun, We go to Lewyland for

Yes Dena, your mom must be a very strong woman with good care. I think of you

often.

This has been a very long end of journey for you.

Hi

Thank you for thinking of me. It has been a long road

for the " end stage " of this awful disease. I try not

to dwell on that because it just makes it all harder

to do day to day. I am thankful for the days months

etc...with her. The one thing that always helps me

through besides God, is that I feel that she is so out

of it most of the time that she is not aware of time

or where she is. She has never asked to go home or

anything as she cannot put her words together enough

to make a statement. Usually it is just moaning, but

occasionally I will hear a word that I recognize. She

has not given me any indication that she knows me in

20 or more months now. That is the saddest part of her

disease. Yet, it is a blessing too. It is like her

soul has gone on and her shell of a body remains. I

don't believe that can happen, but that is the best

way that I can describe it. Does that make any sense

to you? My mom is a different case than most. I know

usually the patients do recognize their LO's up until

the very end.

I do try to be joyful, but some days I just do not

want to get out of bed. But I am caring for her

sisters and brother, so I must. I feel I am right

where I am suppose to be and what more could I ask

for.
