Guest guest
Hi a I use 50% Slippery Elm & 50% Althea rad in capsule form + 5ml acorus + alkaline diet. This combination seems to work well for most of the patients I see. I used to suggest 50% slippery elm & althea rad in powder form but low compliance (due to taste) reduced effectiveness substantially. Hope this helps Mandy Mandy Cutbill Medical Herbalist
Guest guest
I suggest approx 30 mins before a meal. If the problem is severe or they expect to eat a large meal I suggest two capsules, if not then 1. Mandy
Guest guest
Hi, Never had a problem with tinctures, except maybe the odd child. If they have concerns about taste I tell them to alternate mouthfuls with apple juice. This seems to enable most. Yes with slippery elm I've had a lot of resistance using the teaspoon in warm water idea! I really like the yoghurt thing, that's the way to go. Patients did comment that if they did get it down though even half a glass at night that it did help. Guest guest
Brilliant , I find with kids that if the parent thinks the child will take it it will, if the parent is dubious then so is the child. Haven't got any myself so can't throw any light. I would guess that if they don't notice, they don't know!
