Guest guest
And here's #2 that I sent @ 7:31 last eve. ... lost again! CT kidneys/ureters I know I've heard (and probably asked) this before but never received definitive confirmation (or any feedback from the doc on a previous flag) and am now faced with it again ... There's no hydronephrosis. There is, however s/l columnization of the left ureter with ill-defined streaky densities in the peritoneal reflections around the mid and distal left ureter down into the pelvis, suggesting this could have represented some urine extravasation in a recently passed stone. There is a small calculus seen in the bladder at the level of the right hemitrigone. It sounds very much like colonization but my gut tells me it's columnization as I *know* I've seen this before referable to the ureter and/or bladder. I can document in my rad book but unable to find a clear definition. When doing a Web search, I can see it in context ( ... occasional columnization in the urethra) but nothing that provides an explanation. If anyone is familiar with this and can shed some light, I thank you. shelley w.
