Guest guest
Has anyone tried walking so-called toning shoes? I bought Reebok running shoes called runtone. This has been the best pair of shoes ever and I regularly exercise and go through a lot of shoes. They are similar in concept to those muscle toning walking shoes that you see advertised with a rounded sole. They have multiple contact points that force you off your heel towards the toes. It feels like walking on toes all the time. I have noticed that I have a better posture, my heels and knees do not hurt after a lot of walking. I bought the running ones because they are much more soft and flexible than the walking ones. I am getting a pair for my chiari daughter. I found my pair at Dick's. If you have trouble walking try these.
Guest guest
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm...good question. Where I am a firm believer in how important the right shoes are for Chiarians, I have been somewhat hesitant about the " toning shoes " . One of the reasons for this is that one of the " symptoms " for those with tethered cord is " toe walking " . Thus I honestly don't know if this type of shoe would help; could make the condition worse; or could camouflage the problem. I would doubt that any research has been done on this in regard to TC or CM. Just some thoughts.. Sally R...
