Guest guest
Hi Liz, The pharmacist where I get my hormones says that she is the only one mixing the hormones and that nothing has changed since I started in October. Theresa Totally confused now Hi Everyone, Here are my blood test results for this cycle: Day 12 E: 89.8 Day 14 T: <0.1 Day 21 P: 6.3 SHBG: 39 (range: 30 - 135) I don't understand how E could have dropped from over 300 last month. I feel completely out of balance. I don't know what any of this means. I guess I'll have to wait and see what my doctor says. If anyone has any thoughts, please share them with me. Guest guest
Theresa, Does your prescription come in Wiley syringes? If so, then I'm confused as I was told by the pharmacy, that the Estradiol size had changed for better absorption in the last couple of months. If they are not in the WP syringes, then technically, you're not doing the WP. (Not nit picking, just curious) Did you get to talk to your dr about your numbers? Hope you're feeling better! I had one month of 200 and then the next 75 (day 12 E) But I don't know what it means. I had one month, on day 21 my E was 800 and my P was 4. I will be curious to know what your dr says. I could never get any answers except, add lines or take away lines. Please share when you talk to her/him. Guest guest
Both hormones come in the standard green and purple syringes, E and P respectively. I cannot get in to see my doctor until July. Because of my complicated situation, Caren (Wiley), recommended I speak to a Dr. Ridley. I have a telephone consult scheduled with her for the end of the month. I googled the name and discovered that Dr. Ridley used to be male. I am trying to keep an open mind. It really shouldn't matter, except for the fact that her own experience on Wiley cannot be the same as any other woman's experience. I am excited about the possibility that she may be able to help me and hope I do not slip up and call her "sir" or anything like that. I am also considering seeing Dr. Vliet. The problem is that her rates are high and there is no guarantee she will help me. This cycle's P phase has been easier to handle. I experienced a lot of hot flashes on the high P days, but I felt only mild anxiety. It was nice not to feel the overwhelming anxiety that makes me feel like a wreck! It is funny, at 3:00 today I posted in my journal what a good day this had been and how well I was feeling. By 4:00, I was feeling the familiar jitters, dizziness, and heat. Spoke to soon, I guess. I cannot determine if the symptoms were because of the melon I had around 2:00 (glucose/insulin response), because of a drop in E, or because of the E I applied at 3:30. I am borderline diabetic, and I suspect that this is contributing to my difficulties. I have noted that my glucose seems better controlled on high E days. Menopause is a kick in the pants...isn't it? I envy the women who have an easier time of it. I have a friend who had a nervous breakdown in menopause and was diagnosed as bipolar in her 50's. Given my experience, I can't say that I'm surprised.
