Guest guest
Hello All. I have been following the thread about H pylori with interest and am confident that serious herbs like Hydrastis can help with the infection. Two things I wondered about.....first following the use of anti-bacterial herbs such as Hydrastis etc which would presumably wipe out some of the " friendly " bacteria and considering that pylori infestation will have altered the flora anyway what are the preferred methods of encouraging the return of a healthy flora in experience. And if using pre or probiotics and are any particular brands favoured over others. Presumably herbs such as Calendula, Glycyrrhiza, Althea etc which support the mucous membrane will help. Also what are thoughts regarding the premise that total eradication of the bacteria is neither desirable nor neccesary given that such a large proportion of the population have it present in the gut with no apparent ill effects. Is it a case of bad terrain favouring an overpopulation of the bacteria which leads to the imbalance and damage. Thanks Carol Burnett
