Guest guest
Hi, I'm so sorry to hear about your mom and her fall. I know where you are at because my mom did the same thing and ended up in the hospital, rehab, and then board and care. She had been in assisted living but would not use cane, walker, or help from her husband so she fell and fractured her pelvis. This was while her arm was in a cast. One month before she broke her wrist from a fall. With LBD they forget how to use their legs, therefore they don't know how to turn their bodies when they walk. It's very hard for them to understand concepts ..When mom was in the hospital she tried to not eat so she would die. I talked her out of it so she as you know is still here.I have now given my mother permission to go. I told her she didn't have to stay for me.I told her it hurts me to see her like this and that I would be okay. She is now on hospice and her days are numbered. She is bed bound and isn't eating or drinking much. Maybe the drug they have your mother on is not good for her. I'm not familiar with that drug, but there are others. She probably wants to sleep because the pain is very exhausting. My mom was about 80 or 81 when she started breaking parts. Her LBD gets worse every time something out of the ordinary happens. This is a horrible disease and it takes alot of patience and understanding from us, as well as the medical people. Most of the professionals I have met, don't know anything about the disease. I hope everything works out for your mom and yourself. If I can help with anything, feel free to contact me. God Bless your journey. Lynn S. --------------------------------- Fussy? Opinionated?
