Guest guest
hi teresa - first of all, doing taebo 6 times isnt going to make anyone look like shellie blanks and her co-horts in the crew. they are professional athletes -- when they do taebo they do it all day long... and they do a lot more than just taebo too. so please dont compare yourself to them at all. but do take your measurements and clothes as an example and then try to tighten up your eating some more and also include taebo in a workout plan that includes strength training and stretching. check your measurements and clothes each month and see how you are doing. *~*~*~*~* Carolyn RE: > Hello, I am new to this group. Guest guest
Thank you everyone for your responses! I'm going to try the different suggestions and see what happens. I really need to be in great shape by August! I just hope that's not dreaming.... > Hey, !! > > Welcome to TaeBo. In reading your message, my advice would be to cut down your weekend eating to a day, instead. My wife goes to Weight Watchers, and after weigh in, she'll go out for a meal, eat what she wants, then it's back on track, and she is having great results that way, I just think the two days may be a little much. > > As far as your workouts go, from reading 's book, The TaeBo Way, he explains you will get your best physical benefits from 3x a week, or every other day, your body needs that " down " time to reap the benefits of what you've done, why not give that a try, and check your results after a week, and please post your progress here, everyone here is more than willing to help. > > Jerry
Guest guest
Isn't it true that muscle weighs more than fat? I know when I started again, I weighed about 128, when I weighed myself after a little over two weeks, I now weigh 130. However... my clothes feel better on me, especially in the rear! Chances might be good that if you are that sore, you are doing some of the moves not quite the way wants us to. I found that if I break down a workout and instead of trying to do all the reps they do, I try to do what I can the right way. This is especially true of the knee lifts! Tonights workout left me feeling tweeked for a change, and not weak kneed. Not sure if that makes any sense! lol Drink LOTS of water!!! I mean tons of it. It will help with those "munchie" moments too!!! If needed, add a bit of lemon or lime ot it. Tea is good too, just be sure its one that works good for your system. Watch out for Green Tea.. it does contain caffeine! Although you can now get a decaf version of Green Tea, and it don't taste to darn bad! I too make one day a "off" eating day. At first, I would hit those things I avoided all week. But now, the hunger for sweets is diminshed and I can chew on some low fat cheese or maybe a Slim Fast bar and be happy! Grapes are in season right now and are super tasty, so they are eaten both frozen and natural round here!!! With two growing children and a husband who can eat whatever and not gain a pound... its been tough. BUT, I do all the grocering, so I do control what gets brought into the house. The husband came home wiht a bag of Hersey Kisses (which I can eat a whole bag of in one sitting!!), but he kept them out in his truck when he was done munching on them. Being in MI where its still cold and wet... there was no way I was going out for one! lol JMHO, but keep up the good work! Michigan
Guest guest
A pound is a pound, no matter what it is. Muscle is denser than fat, as it takes up less room. Gymmie in Cali The difference between fit and fat is "I" What you eat between Thanksgiving and Christmas isn't as important as what you eat between Christmas and Thanksgiving God loves us in good times and in bad times. But He is even more real in our lives when we are having tough times. Coach Joe Gibbs -- Re: NEED TAEBO HELP Isn't it true that muscle weighs more than fat?
