Today's procedure to place the PEG tube went well. the docs here

didn't want to use only a local anesthetic, despite my suggestion they

consider it, but they were sensitive to my request to not use Benzo

family drugs. The used Demerol and he didn't have a bad reaction. The

surgery went well.

Be sure they give your husband a belly band to keep him from plucking

at the tube. was very restless after the procedure and was

pulling at everything. Fortunately I had anticipated that and they had

him in a band. Tylenol helped, and he's sleeping peacefully now.
