Guest guest
Good Luck Leona! Hope it went well. Hugs, Donna R Caregave for Mom (after I brought her from WI to MI) for 3 years and 4th year in a nh. She was almost 89 when she died in '02. No dx other than mine. Meeeting today Congratulations to for the award. We have all known from day one you are irreplaceable and a great resource for all of us. Thanks also to those who nominated . I went in on the files and printed off several different things to take to Ray's care meeting at the Nursing Home this afternoon. He was moved to the long term wing a couple weeks ago and it is like starting all over again. I don't think they transfer information very well with the patients. So I am going to try to give them a " little Lewy Body session " along with addressing my concerns about Ray's care. I don't look forward to it at all. Wish me luck, Leona Leona: Caregiver for husband Ray, age 67, diagnosed 2/04 with Parkinson's Disease. Changed doctors, diagnosed 6/06 with LBD. Almost continual downhill slide no matter what drugs we try. 5/2/08 Ray was placed in Sunrise Nursing Home in Oswego, NY, 45 minutes from home. So far, so good! Hardest thing I have ever done in my life, however. There's a magical tie to the land of our home, which the heart cannot break, though the footsteps may roam.
