Hi All,

I agree with some of what was said in this post, like " there is not one thing

that

will cure this or any disease " . I would like to ask a few questions. Why

then when people take drugs do they tend to rely on the drug to get them

well, they seem to do nothing else. Not everyone of course, but many

beleive that the drug is all the answer they need, and that they will be

well as long as they take them. Every time a new symptom appears off they go

to the doctor to get a new drug. How will any drug ever cure a chronic

illness caused by environmental toxicty, poor diet and lifestyle, stress and

weakend immune system? Would not the person have to correct some of

those things? Doctors will say that supplements or other changes will not help,

back when I was still going to the doctor, mine did not seem to really know what

I meant

by the word " Supplements " so how could he even comment on something he knows

nothing about.

Most doctors only have 6 hours of nutritional training in school, that is

pathetic.

Something that is so vital to life is unknown to our health professionals. I

would also

ask is stopping the disease progression really enough?? Why not have the body

return to

its pre-disease state if possible, drugs will not ever do that.

If you look at the history of drugs there is only 5% of disease that has ever

been

" cured " by drugs. The rest are simply managed and the person is made more

comfortable

(at best) while the disease progresses and in some cases to eventually take

their lives.

Can you explain how after agresssive campaigns for no fat diets were put out to

save us

from heart disease that heart disease increased to the point where it is now the

number one killer. Can you tell me how come Cancer spends more money on the

people

finding a cure (supposedly) then actually is spent on treating people with the

disease.

For anyone still holding out hope for a drug to cure anything you will

be hoping a lifetime. Drug companies have no intention of helping you

get well, they would go out of business. DO you realize that the drug

companies, and the whole health care industry is kept going by people

who do not want to do business with them. What other business can you

think of that thrives when people do not want to do business with

them. The Morgue is a good example but there are not too many others. Would you

go to a restaurant that served bad food, or take your car to a mechanic

that made it worse?? The answer of course is no, and yet over 100K

people die every year from the drugs they get, not the disease they were

treating. Can you imagine if the restaurant caused even one person to

get sick and die from bad food, they would be shut down. If the mechanic

did not fix your car right and your car malfunctioned causing an

accident they would be sued and put out of business in some cases. ANd

yet we flock to our doctors in droves, expecting them to cure us, the

ones who took the oath " At first do no harm " . The way I see it they

cause way more harm then good when it comes to chronic illness like MS.

So if you enjoy reading about drug trials and hoping for the newest drug

that is going to cure you, that is your choice, I personally feel like its time

wasted.

If instead you spent your time peeling away at the disease by supporting all

your

bodies systems and learning everything you can about your immune system and how

your body

functions, how much better off would everyone be. The body has many

needs, physical, mental and spiritual. I have heard so many

saying " I tried that and it did not work " . Most the time these people have

tried to add one thing to their life and expected a big change. Also we did not

get sick in just one years time, its happend to us over many years and yet

people

expect a few supplements to have dramatic results in 1 month. I know

lots of people who are living normal lives now who had been diagnosed

with MS and many other chronic illness. They kept working at it, every

day, eating healthy foods and supplementing what was missing from the diet. They

don't

poison their system with preservatives, hormones or antiobitoc laden food. They

quit

poisoning their environements with toxic cleaners and chemicals, used

chiropractors & accunpunture and many other modalities like chelation, drank

filtered

water, attended to their spritual lives and got rid of stress. I feel the most

potent

part, they had a great attitude. Having an attitude that says " I will get

completely well " is so important, its a huge factor, never accept the disease.

Some people don't want to get well and and their own emotions will never allow a

recovery.

Some also say you have to accept reality, but what is reality, what doctors

say??? How many

people do you know that were diagnosed wrong the first time, what was their

reality? My

stepmom was diagnosed with cancer in December, they sent her home to get her

affairs in

order as she only had 3 months. I told her we could fight the disease but she

told me it

was her time. It was not her time, she had 4 sons, and she had 10 grandkids, had

just

spent 60K remodeling her kitchen which she had wanted for years, she had lots of

friends,

it was not her time at all. But, the doctor said there was no hope and she

believed them,

she was gone in 3 weeks, what a waste of her golden years. To me that is a

crime to tell

someone there is no hope. There is always hope, always.

I own and moderate several other forums, each one has its way of thinking that

is why there

are so many forums, to accomodate everyone. The owners of this forum are

alternative

thinkers and have regained their health without drugs and so why would they want

to talk

about drugs. I too have regained my health without drugs and enjoy learning

more and more

about diet and other things people do to help themselves. So I certainly have

no problem

with others choices I personally don't see a great need to learn more about

drugs on

this forum. I enjoy sharing what I have learned and to offer hope to those just

starting their journey back to wellness.
