1:2 FE vs 1:2 Tr - Difference in strength?

Hello Everyone

Can anyone clarify the difference in strengths between a 1:2 FE and a 1:2 Tr?

Also is a 1:1 FE twice as strong as a 1:2 Tr and three times as strong as a 1:3

Tr? Just wondering if the way a FE is made makes it stronger than the Tr method

of manufacture.

I have also read on the Herbal Apothecary website that the lower ratios are not

linlearly stronger because it gets harder to extract the constituents into the

menstruum due to saturation etc. e.g. a 1:2 is not necessarily twice as strong

as a 1:4. Any comments?
