Guest guest
Dear April- Just wanted you to know we are thinking of you today and wishing you well. Keeping you, your FIL, you dad, and your family in our thoughts and prayers. Many hugs- Sandie and dad, Merle, passed from LBD 9-20-02, age 65 mum, Jo, living in New Zealand with LBD, age 77 -- FIL and My Dad...Yet Another Update Well, my dad has taken a turn for the worse. I called him earlier and he was very incoherent; didn't speak much and when he did, it didn't make sense. My brother said he's a lot worse today than he was yesterday and he isn't sure why. I just tend to think that my dad, being 81, has become very frail and feeble and it's hard for him to fight back. Also, when my mom died 5 1/2 years ago, that's when his real heart problems began...a broken heart. My brother encouraged me to try and come see him soon because it may very well be the last time. Such is this thing called life. My FIL still isn't doing well, either. He got up in the middle of the night wanting his dog in bed and my MIL refused. They, apparently, argued for 4 hours. My MIL said today that she's about to find a place to put my FIL. She just can't deal with him anymore and has grown angry, impatient, and resentful. I'm not sure if the Sinemet reduction is going to bring about the positive effects they were hoping for, but time will tell. I'll be in touch. Thanks to all of you for caring. Hugs, April Welcome to LBDcaregivers.
