Guest guest
I am just curious to see if there are any other younger caregivers reading/posting here. I am 21 years old and my father is only 54. He was diagnosed with Parkinons ~8 years ago and then rediagnosed with LBD a year ago. It has been a tough adjustment to my life as a student and was wondering if there are any others like myself out there?
Guest guest
Considering the " norm " of those afflicted with LBD is at age 68 or older - I'm guessing that you are one of the rare young caregivers here. I'm sorry that you and your dad are dealing with this terrible disease at such a young age. I can't even imaging my mom having to deal with this 20 years ago!! My prayers are with you and your dad. But we all act young... does that count? LOL PS -- I'm 36, my mom is 74. She had me late in life (she was 38 and my dad was 42) I was a " surprise " .
