The only one I really know of that is good is Astrazeneca (maker of Symbicort). I used to use it, and it provided a substantial discount. Also, check with your pharmacy. I know WalGreens and Kroger both have programs (although, I don't know exactly how good they are). Their programs you pay something like $10/year and have access to discounted pricing. Don't forget to check with your doctors. They get tons of samples from the drug reps (I have one who used to ask the rep for extra samples of my meds for me). The docs will usually help out established patients who are having a hard time. Hope this helps some.

Can anyone recommend a good rx discount card? It seems like all of the ones I have tried only take off a few dollars. Thanks.

Have you tried to get help from the drug companies. Try www.pparx.org. They help folks who have no insurance and lower incomes. Good luck,To: asthma Sent: Thu, June 9, 2011 9:16:40 AMSubject: rx discount cards..

Depending on the meds, Walmart and other places have meds at $4 for a 30 day supply. To: asthma Sent: Thu, June 9, 2011 10:55:20 AMSubject: Re: rx discount cards..

I know this doesn't apply to your question, but, if you are on any kind of social security, I am not sure if that goes for medicaid also, but, there is The Extra Help Program, call your social security office and ask about it. Makes a world of difference in your meds prices. To: asthma Sent: Thu, June 9, 2011

Walmart and Target also have programs where some drugs only cost a certain amount of money.. I used to get my albuterol from Walmart b/c I could get it for 7.00 without insurance and when my insurance kicked in, it only cost me 2.00. This was before they went CFC free with the inhalers though. I know that some drugs are on a 4.00 list...but I dont know what ones.
