Hi there.

A client of mine with Hep c is very concerned about qualities of milkthistle

after reading an article on the hep c trust web site has any one any up to date

information regarding clinical trials and hep c using milk thistle, and in what

form. I have decided to start using powders (00)and making capsules, juices.

www.hepctrust.org.uk

I have seen her for years using teas and tinctures and she has always done well(

ALT levels stable around 45-60) but she recently had a break from herbs and did

a clay detox October (i had no experience or advise on the subject). She did a

liver function test in December ALT levels (which show damage being done in

the liver) had rocketed from the usual level of 45 up to 465 which is 15 times

over the normal limit the nurse thought this may have caused damage to the

liver as there has been some reports of high levels of lead and arsenic in

soil clay has been collected from.??????? She is now back to 90 but feels very

unsure about taking anything. I have asked my supplier for test certificates

which is taking its time.

Any advise in this area would be appreciated .

Did the Shisandra in previous mixes keep Alt levels down?
