Guest guest
Okay. Let's see... Money is important because it is the central symbol in the only mythology most people in the world believes in today: the economy. In this role, it makes the world go round. Money is important to me personally as an indicator of how active the Divine Mother, Abundance, is in my life. Its ebb and flow tells me when I need to be giving it more of my attention. And, money is important because it is a kind of energy. Its lack causes powerlessness, so ideally, it would be spread around equitably. Obviously that is less and less so today, which shows how out of balance things are. These are just some quick thoughts on the way out the door. My family believes I have very weird notions about money! And I have Mars in the third house at 16° Libra, and Venus in the eleventh house at 24° Gemini. Guest guest
Money is important when it's liquid and can flow like lifeblood through one's life. Where I'm stuck is often where the flow of money gets impeded. Money is important when in balance with other currencies in your life like friendship, creativity, love. Money is like a blank screen, anything and everything gets projected onto money. With misunderstandings and conflict, it's better to look for underlying issue. Mars in Taurus in the 9th house. Venus in Taurus in the 9th house. In the dance, Frances > Here is a fun game! Take a paper n write down 3 statements about the > importance of money. Money is merely a means to an end. Money can't buy happiness, but it sure makes the journey there a lot more comfortable. The importance of money usually varies in inverse proportions to the amount you actually have. Kione
Guest guest
Ask a dying billionaire. Money is important in that it buys you time. Money -- think ancient coins, the gods and god kings pressed into them, emblems and magic seals, coins to sit on the eyes to pay the ferryman. In all the times I've ever worried about not having it, things turned around and found a way. I gave up a heap of it to marry for love. Twice. Three times, if you count engagements. But don't count. Is that 3? One last thing, please. If all of us really pay attention to what our money does, there won't be problems and wars and dreadful people running things. Every dollar you spend votes for something, empowers someone. When funds are invested blindly--only looking at the bottom line, what profit is yielded--it only works to empower those who are the most willing to run over their grandmother for a profit. (How many Millionaires in America? A dime a dozen? And they move their mountains invisibly, with a click of a button. All these anonymous investors feeding all these invisible schemes. . . If they feed malice, unbalanced fate, rape the very earth, they wouldn't know it. Some make it their philosophy not to know or care; it's their right, their dominion over whole planets. Bright lights, cars like tanks steaming in the rain, everything encased within emblems of status! All of the arrogance, the bombastic luxury, the endless gray buildings made of things that never lived. Everything that touches the flesh seems synthetic, and sometimes, the flesh is too. These are shards cut off from all that springs from timelessness, the timelessness that meets us in dream. Can there be a future if we don't first imagine it, hope for it? A future beyond us? Who hoped for this?) O my negative animus, Deborah
Guest guest
Dear Alice Three statements about the importance of money. Sounds so easy, but it takes a few minutes to think. Not that I haven't often over the years thought about " money " Are we talking about 3 ways money is important to us? If that is the case, I would say, that in our society money is the difference between security and insecurity. It brings the only power we have in society. Not power over others, but power to lead the life one wants for oneself and family. I for one, felt that that basic human security was necessary for me, especially with a husband in a dangerous job and 4 children.WE did the best to prepare, if I had to go it alone. So financial freedom from fear and insecurity. ..I don't much like the idea of being a " bag " lady someday. The anxiety caused by insecurity is endless for those without money...or less than they need. A comfortable way of life, I suppose is each persons wish today in our world. Not having to worry about those things we think are important for us and our families, like a comfortable house, education, the arts, self expression in work rather than the first job available. Health care. Those not absolute basics which make life enjoyable. Money can buy just about anything nowadays, including the best health care, the greatest safety, a job which gives pleasure, and for the unhappy ones, comfort in their unhappiness, rather than constant worry about bare subsistence. I can truly say that there is nothing I ever wanted that I couldn't have. There was never any 'need " that couldn't be satisfied, if money would do it. That doesn't mean I had all the money for everything, I didn't, but then there was nothing so important materially either, that I " had " to have. All the extras I wished for came too.Thank G-d. I always said, if I won the lottery it would be terrible for my children and for me. I would give them everything, they wouldn't grow and develop their own resources, and I would attempt to exert power over them which is actually the last thing I really want.It would be terrible all around. Thank goodness I never needed to worry about that. Now I wouldn't mind a little bit extra to get one of my children out of a difficult lifestyle....there I go again, trying to enable. I can say honestly, Ray and I never had a serious problem or argument with money, because after my experiences as a child I knew what kind of a man I could never marry, and we did discuss all this before we wed. We never in the years we both worked had " my money " and " his money. " it was all in one pot(except for gifts) Sometimes experience is a blessing, however hard it seemed when I was a child. I have always wondered why I am so fortunate in this world of want among so many millions. I came up with the only answer I could find. I don't know " but I know Whom to thank. Sorry, Alice, I never could make anything brief!!! love, Toni Neg animus/anima This is a topic we haven't discussed, as far as I know........ but a neg animus is a fairly common thing, a whole generation of women suffered fr it! It happens wh men make assumptions ab women's [intellectual] abilities and women COLLUDE w/the idea that they are not as gifted or capable as men. This general attitude in the far East still prevails n yet India n Israel n the UK have had women prime ministers, n we have had Madeleine Albright. It has prevailed where men seem interested only in the outer functions of women n show no interest in their inner psyches. No wonder so many women fall in love w/their male analysts! Finally a man who is interested in their souls! The feminist movement did a lot to change things, but it was angry n led to animus-possessed women. Think Lucy in Peanuts! Jung wrote extensively ab the animus being the inner masculine of women n the anima, the inner fem of men, stating that ev marr consisted of 4 factors n when arguments broke out, women theorized n men became moody n sulked!:} The man w/a lovely anima is unafraid to show his feelings n genuine appreciation of the feminine n the woman w/a healthy animus is cheerfully rational wh she needs to be. My friend Bly put it this way: We need gentle men and noble women. NOT girlie men and ballbusters! It seems to me, we've made a good deal of progress in the last 40 years but many women I see still suffer fr doubt n turn any male criticism ag themselves, even expecting rejection. And I wonder if some of the men in our grp are afraid still to express their emotions for fear of vulnerability. If any of this makes sense, it helps to become conscious of this. This also explains why one has to know if a chart is of a man or a woman. Mars=animus in women n what type of man she is likely to project on; Venus, in a man, but Mars in a man's cht can show how he views his own masculinity, n Venus will show how comfortable a woman is w/her femininity. In adolescence, animus/anima projections are rampant n continue to underlie failed love affairs n broken hearts. Sigh! Here is a fun game! Take a paper n write down 3 statements about the importance of money. U can share them w/us or not but write if u have decided wh they are! This works for both men/women. ok? n please respond. Our fire is down to a few embers! I need help! love ao
