You just laid the leaves against the neck? For how long at a time? Did you

mash them or crush them in any way??

DEar Sara, This is going to sound very simplistic but I had patient with benign

thyroid growth which was causing sufficient disruption for surgergy to be fairly

imminent. With nothing to lose we tried cabbage leaves, green outside leaves of

savoy cabbage , replenished frequently and with time limit of the planned

surgergy. The growth

went, was checked by surgeon - pre- operative and declared to no longer need the

surgery. There was also resolution of the symptoms being caused by the growth.

Worth a try. Allshorn

mostly hot flushes and low energy. She had a partial hysterectomy aged 34, and

her menopasue started aged 46. She also has a benign growth on her thyroid.

Needle aspiration showed a white fluid, and some solid matter.

Leonurus, Vitex et al), which had no effect, so presumed that her hot flushes

were thyroid-induced. I gave her the following Gingko, Leonurus, Avena, Fucus,

Valeriana, Iris versicolour, which worked a treat. 6 months later we reduced her

dose down to 5ml OID, and that worked well to keep the flushes at bay. She

remained at that dose for 6 months without problem, but now her hot flushes have

retuned and increasing the dose to 7.5ml BID hasn't worked, nor has tha addition

of Asparagus racemosa, nor Black cohosh & dong quai.

significantly less bothersome - ie she is now able to sleep lying down, whereas

before she had to sleep propped up.
