these chiros creating hope that they can `cure' a person and then want $8000 to

$10,000 up front for treatment is not only unethical … it should be against the

law. It appears that dr. k is setting up seminars showing how to scam us out of

our money. the guy I went to in tampa looked like he just got out of med school

and rented the most expensive office he could find to set up `shop'.

I went to Dr. Willmitch in tampa a couple of years ago. I had just read dr. k's

book and was so filled with hope that this doctor was going to be `it'. the

first visit was an hour long and … looking back was really just a sales pitch.

He told me how the treatment was going to cure me and I would have my life back.

I left feeling so hopeful … he had my ten page questionnaire that I had filled

out and he was going to set up a treatment plan just for me … once he studied

it.

The second visit was not so good. I asked about prescriptions … he said I would

have to find my own m.d. for that. I asked about treatment … he said first

thing would be an elimination diet. I asked about being forced to take supps

that made me feel sicker … he said he wouldn't push anything on me. He said it

would take about a year before I really had any improvement, but don't worry if

I wasn't satisfied he would give me a prorated refund any time during the

following year. Then he left and a girl came in with a handful of loan apps. I

had been diagnosis shopping for ten years and had charged so many doctor visits,

and their tests, on our charge cards that we had to file bankruptcy. I told her

and she said … let's just try one. Of course … we were denied. They told me

when I got the money to come back. lol I cried the entire hour drive back home.

Sharon,

Thanks for sharing your experience. It makes me really question the wisdom of

our for profit medical system.

The DC's in my area are not so sleazy. There was one adverizing help with

thyroids but he took it down when Shomons article came on line.

I live in MA were the Attorney General will go after such types. Sometimes they

are too agressive and drive ND's and holistic docs out of state. It has its pros

and cons. FL has a reputation for preying on seniors and the sick more than many

other states. There is more medicare fraud by doctors and medical product

companies in FL than anywhere else.

IF it sounds too good to be true it likely is.

IF Dr. K's protocol was so good would it be taking off like hot cakes by

now.????? He seems to be on to some other ailment and is not talking too much

about thyroids these days.
