Guest guest
Hi Carol, I realize that not everyone will have results like I have had. It did take me 7-1/2 years of research, experimenting and many different modalities to come to where I am now. I certainly know the frustrations when you are trying so hard and spending a fortune and getting sicker by the day. I don't look at all those years and money I spent as a waste of time at all, I think even though I was getting sicker, I was not dead, I was not debilitated, I was not in a wheelchair yet. If I had started to take steroids, or other prescribed drugs what would my health have looked like at 7-1/2 years??? If I had believed what doctors say about both Lyme disease and MS, where would I be??? I won't ever know the answer and I don't want to know the answer, but I am most positive I would have be in a wheelchair. As far as having an open mind, well that is how I got where I am, because I allowed my self to continue on a journey that seemed to be a dead end, one with no hope. But keeping my mind open to things I could not fully understand and allowing my faith to keep me strong I got where I always wanted to be. Like I said in my first post, it takes lots and lots of work to recover from any serioius illness, some people are not willing to change and drugs are good options for them, But my mission is to educate others that while they are using drugs, they still need to be proactive with their health. They need to keep working on better diet, cleasning the liver from the drugs, just overall looking at the big picture. Doctors and drugs don't have all the answers, and certainly neither do alternatives, but perhaps they could compliment each other and then things would look different for lots of people. cah819 wrote: > , > First of all, the Lyme herbs I'm taking ARE supplements, NOT drugs. > > I understand that you want to believe " diet, supplements, exercise, > physical therapy, chelation, filtered water, getting all > chemicals out of their life, stop using microwaves, etc. etc. " , are > going to be enough for you. Guest guest
They may all be supplements, but some are herbal, and some are food based. Most food based supplements do not come with warnings in you are already using drugs. However lots of herbal medicine comes with warnings because they are medicine, only from a natural source. If you were taking a certain medication for a condition, and then also started taking a herbal remedy for the same condition this could get you into trouble. So for the sake of any discussion like this, we should clarify herbal supplements or food supplements. cah819 wrote: > > > > > Herbs can be used like drugs, as in this case. > > ~~~No more so than the supplements is advocating, they're all > supplements. If it weren't for the existence of drugs, there would be no warnings about herbs OR grapefruit or cilantro or any of a number of other foods that should not be eaten by people on certain drugs. Not all non herbal supplements are food based. In fact, MOST supplements are NOT food based. Most are made in a lab and the process that's used to manufacture them more closely resembles the processes used to make drugs than herbals do. And, even food based supplements are highly processed. Without drugs in the scenario at all, wisely used herbs would be less toxic than manufactured supplements that contain fillers, mixers etc., food based or not. And, they are capable of doing things food and supplements will never be able to do. Herbs have been used since almost the beginning of man, whereas supplements, whether food based or not, have not. Herbs are much more natural than are supplements just by virtue of the processing that goes into supplements. If all that was needed to cure disease were foods, supplements and clean living, then why did people die at such early ages prior to the advent of todays environment, when the diet and environment were more healthy? Guest guest
I am obvisouly not conveying the message I want others to hear and so forget it, I don't have the time to waste splitting hairs on things. Have a great day. cah819 wrote: > > > > They may all be supplements, but some are herbal, and some are food > > based.
