Guest guest Posted January 29, 2009 Report Share Posted January 29, 2009 Considering all that my son has gone through with PEG's(miralax)this is including the ICU(potassium) scare and the docs know this. While I was on the phone discussing his upcoming surgries, meds etc. they asked me if I have been using Miralax, I dont even accept scripts for it(Im guessing they asked because I told them he has been having movements, not perfect, but is), although his gastro hasnt pushed miralax, I just cant believe how casual the topic is to them. Hello, remember, he swelled to the size of looking 10mths pregnant, it almost gave him a heart attack, they just dont get it!!! Looks like Im gonna have to really watch them and what they use while he is in the hospital again, the last incident is when I learned the PEG's come in many different names. Our poor kiddo's, they are new targets to fatten wallets now!! Please no one take that personally, I realize meds are needed sometimes, but when they are thinking of everything under the sky to make new ones for($$$)and dont care of the damage they cause because they figure we'll just put them on another med for the damage etc etc. it just really upsets me! And the scary thing is, our hands are getting tied tighter and tighter on the choices and they are working so hard on pushing natural supplements into being script and even as far as illegal!!
