About 10 months ago my little boy(thenjust turned 2) was diagnosed with autism. He has come a long way since then. Anyway, over the time I have done a lot of research on the net and began to suspect myself of having AS. I also strongly suspect my husband of having HFA or AS, but he refuses to believe he has any issues. My daughter (almost 5) and I are boh on waiting lists for diagnoses. I was so relieved to discover I have AS. It has explained a lot of my past behaviour and anxiety. I feel a sense of freedom that I have never experienced before. I feel I can now take on things I would never have consider before as I always held myself back for fear of failure or rejection. I am struggling with my husband and daughter though. As he thinks it is all just me and that he has to learn to deal with my AS. And my daughter is a handful with so many demands. Anyway I am hoping to get sme support and advice here to help get through this discovery stage. Look forward to being part of this group.
