Guest guest
Thanks Lyn, I'm pretty excited myself. This is my second time doing weight watchers. I lost the weight and gained it back to have another baby! Last time all my losses were from .5 to 2 lbs. So, this was really surprising for me. In the future I expect my losses to be in the .5 to 2 lb. range. Anyway, thanks Again. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ God Bless America ! I was a little shocked at the results. I lost 4.6 lbs. I hope this program continues to work for me. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Mommy to Ambree and Kirsten (Twin Angels) 5-25-95 Austin 3-22-96 Baylee 5-21-99 Caybrie 1-24-01 ~~May all your days be filled with smiles!~~ 188.8/184.2/145 *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Guest guest
Amy- That is wonder! Keep up the good work. I have always found those huge losses would keep on program and cloud nine for weeks to come.
Guest guest
Congrats and Kathy on the weight loss! Isn't it great to be a " loser " ! Thanks, too, Kathy, for the walking group website. Sounds like a great idea to get daily walking assignments and I've signed on. Sandi > I have been getting emails from a walking group I signed up for a long, > long time ago. Guest guest
Congratulations Ellen, I dont think any loss is too small, you keep plugging away and they add up quick. Keep up the good work! Guest guest
Ellen.. COngratulations...A loss is a loss no matter how big or small...celebrate and be happy... You say you would like to weigh 140 pounds, If you don't mind me asking how old are you? Only because of leader thinking 150 instead of 145? Just curious... Again....Congrats.... --- Ellen Liesse wrote: > Today I weighed in and lost .8 pound! Guest guest
Ellen, I would take what your WW leader said as a compliment!! You must be looking skinny for her to say that. Back in college my dream weight was 125 (I'm 5'7 " ). Now it's 150 lbs., but I don't think there'll be much difference in the look. Back then I didn't exercise a bit and probably had no muscle mass to speak of. Now I'm an exercising fool and I know that 150 is gonna look good once I get there. But, if you feel more comfortable at 145 and won't have to stress out to maintain it, then go for it. 269/235.6/
Guest guest
Ellen and -- I'd like to join in, b/c I've been thinking about this subject, too. Like you all, I'm 5'7 " and 33 years old and I haven't set a final goal weight. My leader has been supportive and says I don't have to set one yet, even thought the WW literature suggests that now is the time, after you've achieved you 10%. She suggested another 10% or maybe a weight range, like in the 180's, for my next goal. I think she's right b/c it's intimidating to set a goal that's 60 or so pounds away! 153 is the top of my range for my age and height, but I haven't seen 153 since I was in my early 20's. It's hard to know what's going to be healthy, realistic, and maintainable. How much bearing does one's previous weight have on what one should weigh 15 years later? I know I'm in better shape physically, am more muscular, than I was in my early 20's...<grin> and that I'll probably look better at a higher weight than I used to! I've been reading about how to determine the size of one's frame, waist to hip ratio, and body mass index, body fat percentages, etc. but I'm still not sure. I've been thinking 145 would be nice, probably a size 12 or 14, which I think would be comfortable for me. Maybe I just need to relax for now and trust that I'll know more when I get closer to the top of my range...Is this decision largely subjective, though? Thanks! Guest guest
Hiya everyone, thanks for the warm welcome last week, I actually live in Bristol so when you were over here you may very well have driven past the door ;0) I was quite surprised when I joined last Tues and was lighter than I'd been expecting, not a lot but it's only 70lbs to loose now, not the 80/85 that I'd been dreading. I havent been too good on the power start menu that we get in the uk and found myself undereating by about 8 points a day. I weighed in this week and I've lost 4lbs, yay, 64 to go :0) I will say I'm surprised as I find that I'm eating a lot more now than I ever did pre WW but for once it's healthily and spread throughout the day instead of a large starchy and fatty meal mid evening. I'm finding the journal is helping tremendously and also the planning the day before. Luckily hubby will do the shopping so I dont have to worry about resisting all the temptations. Guest guest
Congratulations! That's completely awesome. I have had those popcorn cake. The chocolate peanut butter ones are wonderful as well. Great one point snack when the sweet tooth hits! What does the point range drop to under 150 pounds? Weigh in I weighed in this week and I was down another 1.8 pounds!! I am now officially under 150 pounds!! It is bitter sweet, though because of that point range drop! LOL! Anyways, anyone tried the caramel popcorn cakes? They are like rice cakes but popcorn instead... YUM! " I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. " Revelation 2: 2 For His Sake Semalee --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Guest guest
Very good point! I've not added regular exercise to my life quite yet, although I have been exercising more than ever before. Just more in starts and fits. Today I walked around Green Lake, nearly 3 miles, with the dogs. They have a smashing good time, and so did my husband and I! Re: Weigh in > Oy vey! I wonder how hard it is to lose eating at the top of that range. But, Tory and others...don't forget that if you plan to exercise a half hour to an hour each day, you can boost those point totals. Plus, I find that exercising suppresses my hunger, maybe something about all my blood going to my muscles instead of my stomach, or something. So, get in the exercise habit and don't worry about point totals.
Guest guest
Tory, I think walking the dogs is one of the best, most dependable, exercises around. Each weekday morning my dog and I get up and walk. The only time we don't is if it's raining, and even then, we've been known to brave a drizzle. And, she's afraid of thunder; so we bypass those days. (With spring coming, I wonder how she'll do.) This regular exercise has really helped me this past winter. She will come, if I don't get up with the alarm, and lick my face or poke me with her nose. " Time to get up! " I have another dog, as well; but he doesn't like to walk in the dark! What kind of dogs do you have? jana apex, nc > >Very good point! I've not added regular exercise to my life quite yet, >although I have been exercising more than ever before. Guest guest
I have two dogs. One is a cocker cross named . He's a short stack with a big attitude. The other is a sable rough Collie named Maddie. She's just the most loving dog on the face of the earth. Both loves walks...and if I mention the word, they go nuts. Re: Weigh in > > > > Oy vey! Very, VERY active. They would walk me to death if I would...... jana apex, nc _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp.
