Guest guest
>But I'm not the average Taeboer either > as I only lost 10 pounds doing Taebo in the first three years of doing > it. hi rachelle! is this still happening to you?? 10 pounds is more than i have lost in the last 2 years (ive been trying to lose, oh, 20 pounds in the last 2 years and i think that ive lost around 5)... but ive finally made some drastic changes to my food intake and i feel like im actually getting somewhere now. i feel like im getting a bit smaller! i have given up on losing poundage a long time ago because of the lifting -- and i think that the combo of cardio, weights and eating are finally starting to kick in on this ole bod! i think of you often as i keep plugging away as we used to commiserate alot together. >In two days, it will be my fifth anniversary - where did the time > go??!!! wow!! let me send you some early congratulations!! way to go!!! your persistance just has to pay off in the long run, in so many different ways! > there are so many that all they had to do was Taebo and they firmed, > toned and lost weight. i used to be like that -- and i ate and drank whatever i wanted too! but not now! nope! now i have had to do, what i feel, is alot of drastic stuff to get any kind of result. -carolyn. --- Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Guest guest
> I figured out when going back through Fitday > that when I average 1350 calories a month, those were the months I > lost weight hi rachelle! wow, that low, eh? i still havent been able to determine my magic caloric number. i was aiming for around 1500 cals a day as a test to see.... and then i got so tired of counting that i stopped doing it. now, im just concentrating on eating my 5-7 fruits/vegs a day and drinking 6-9 cups of water a day and avoiding sweets (and coca-cola :/) and im feeling better because im not driving myself crazy with numbers. i still have some issues with portion sizes though so im trying to work on that as well. but gee, 1350 cals seems pretty low, especially with all of your workouts. as you build muscle mass you should be able to increase that number, right? are you lifting pretty heavy weights? > Something is bound to work at some point for us Carolyn. yah, heck. i dunno. ive pretty much given up on worrying about it anymore. i just workout now to have some fun and to try to make myself feel good inside. i watch my food and drink intake to make my body feel better. i just did not feel well when i ate lousy all of the time. i just want to have more energy and to feel happier. the weight loss/toning stuff is just a side benefit now. ive pretty much given up on trying to actually lose weight or get smaller. that is why i was so surpised that i actually am feeling a bit smaller! i havent been really trying to accomplish that, specifically. > I really would like to buy some > more Cathe tapes - I really, really like her. rachelle, which cathe workouts would you recommend for a cathe-newbie? which ones do you use? ive been using my FIRM workouts (some older, some newer) and i also use kathy smiths weight workouts and i do beachbody.com's slim series. the slim series is fast and light (nothing over 8 pounds) but with the firm the most i can lift is 10-12 pound dumbells and 3 pound ankle weights. i feel pretty wimpy really! i am wondering if i should be lifting heavier weights to get better results but dont know how im going to be able to stand it. i am thinking about purchasing cathe's body blast timesaver because the workouts are shorter... i thought that it might be good to start with shorter workouts with her since she is intense. or perhaps i should go the slow & heavy route with cathe, although i do not have a barbell. i wouldnt mind trying cathe's cardio workouts too... but i dunno. everything i read about her makes me feel intimidated! -carolyn. --- Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Guest guest
Yup, I did KPC the other night and man alive, she's non stop. I really enjoyed it. Still have her power hour, MIS and Body Max to do (got it on 1 DVD). I didn't see KPC on a DVD with several others until it was too late, but I might get that later on. I keep forgetting to check her out on Fit TV. Gotta check her site and see when she's on again. When I first started with Cathe, I couldn't get through a whole tape - she makes Taebo feel like a warm-up but I am so glad I stuck with it. She still makes me feel like a wimp at times but at least I can get through a whole tape.
