Beating & Treating MS

I am relatively new to this list. I have MS, and I am a massage

therapist, there as, working on many people with MS. I joined this

group because the subject line is: Main Focus: Eliminating MS

Cofactors; MS Alternative therapies and Beating MS. I think we

should always be forward thinking and as open as possible to any and

all therapies to help/cure MS. I'm sure everyone on this list

believes in the same cause. No matter what path it takes, the final

and best result is that. Most people are willing to try almost

anything to cure cancer, survive or prolong their life. MS should

be treated this way. We all cannot agree what is best at this

point, because one treatment doesn't work for all. I DO use one of

the CRAB drugs, and at this point in my life and the stability of my

condition, I will not switch to anything else-I would not tell

anyone this will work for them, it's what I use. If any or all of

the methods of treatment were rated at 100% for a cure, we would all

be flocking to that doctor, or using that althernative, regardless

of what our physicians want. That is why there is such a widespread

opinion on treatment, because not one thing works! That is the same

with almost anything in life, other diseases, religion, and

politics. Nothing is set in stone for us, yet. Hopefully one day.

I agree that all therapies should be listed, referenced and allow

one to read and research on their own. We are not here to diagnose,

we are here to share, research, and link information. I believe

that any and all therapies are open for discussion on this list

according to the Main Focus subject line. I have researched many

links on here, some I can really relate to, others are just not for

me. We can agree to disagree, but don't shut the door. Many

amazing discoveries in medicine and alternative therapies have been

discovered by accident. We could have the answer one day on this

list! I think the links are helpful, warnings are necessary when

studies go bad, and side effects reported are in need for anyone

newly diagnosed. We were all new once, we are here to help and

share. Everyone is entitled to his/her opinion. That is what an

open forum is. Thus, that is why many use alternative therapies,

others use drugs. It's your own choice. I have a friend who has MS

and we went many rounds on My choice of drugs. She felt and

documented her drug was better verses mine. I went with my heart

and chose what I wanted based on my needs and condition. We are

still friends. We talk about alternative therapies, she blows me

off, she feels she knows it all, has had the disease longer, but we

are still friends. I hope my point is coming through. Sorry so

long, but I felt I had to post this for Adam. I read all e-mails

and I see everyone posting their progress, therapies and life

stories. If anyones post is not sent through or moderated due to

the fact of their choice then the subject line at the home page

needs to be changed to something other than what it is. Eliminating

MS- That is our goal, one way or another. If my post would be

eliminated or altered, then I would know as well.

Thanks for letting me rant, I feel better already, and now my stress

level has dropped and I can help my clients for the best and upmost

good! Take Care, White Light of Healing to You All-Patty

Hi Patty

Thanks for your post.

I will still be posting the articles to the list (as and when I see

them), but what I will do is put something like *Non Alt. Articles*

etc, something like that. This way, those who do not want to see

articles on 'non alt.' things i.e. drugs etc, can skip past or delete

it. However, those who are interested in the post can also read it and

research themselves if they want to use the post/article as a starting

point.

Hopefully this will suit everyone. Thanks, Adam

i wanted to say exactly the same thing, just never got around to it,

yet. glad someone else feels the same way! i am also on a CRAB

drug, have been for years, but still want to try other methods for

improvement. newly diagnosed people need and deserve to hear

everything! i think this is the place for that. " why can't we all

just get along? "
