Thank you for your contributions, your time, and your support.

I will muster up the strength to try this rodeo ride again.

I will say... I have been reading about how others have also had

frustrating times trying to deal with agencies, whether it be

doctors, NH's, or whatever. That in itself, does make me feel better.

At least, now I know it wasn't just me! It sure gets exhausting when

you have to argue with everybody about everything, all the time!

She was originally diagnosed AD/PD, and problems were a nightmare.

After intense researching of the web, I discovered LBD. I approached

her doctors about LBD, and they " blew me off " . So I fired those 3

doctors, found a young GP who had never heard of LBD, but was willing

to learn and be open minded. He made the necessary phones calls to

find us a new psychiatrist & neurologist that would be open to the

LBD possibility, and now she has a team of doctors that support us/me.

And as far as the psychiatrist, my mother was his 1st & only LBD

patient. Now he has diagnosed 2 others, but he sure does make us his

priority! Every time we see him, he THANKS ME! for allowing him to

become a better doctor. Needless to say... he's my favorite!

Have a good day all... Lee

HI Norma,

I did a quick yahoo search and found out that Razadyne used to be called

Reminyl. While I'm not 100% certain I believe that lexapro is made by the same

company that makes celexa - another anti-depressant. It should be OK. I have

read on this list that someone's LO is taking this with good results but I can't

remember who it was now.

Courage.

wondering if my dds should change the advair to something else or if there is

some other combo that works better? thanks. jean

QVar (3 puffs, 2x/da7), Symbicort (2 puffs, 2x/day), Ventolin (as needed), Albeuterol nebs as needed, Xolair injections 1x/mo. Those are the asthma meds ... I also have blood pres meds, insulin and a slow release nitro for angina. I sound like I should be 90+ ... OY! The new job is good. I still have a lot to learn, though. I finished my pred yesterday but had to leave work early as my rescue puffer was not doing the trick. I came home, used my neb 3 times and woke up wheezing. I see my doc on Tuesday. Mike McBrideTo:

Hi I am in competition with Mike to see who has the longest medicine list. Please do not take mine as normal. I am going to give it to you so you can have the options to research. For asthma: Xyzal, Symbicort, Pulmicort, Performist, vitamin D 1000IU, (Duoneb and Combivent as rescue). This is two corticosteroids and a LABA. Not the normal. I also have GERD (very common in asthmatics) and take Protonix for that. Type II diabetes (from prednisone) requires metformin, and prednisone related cholesterol takes simvistatin. I also take meds to help with kidney stone issues, depression, and insomnia. MadelineTo: asthma Sent: Wed, March 23, 2011 12:28:17 AMSubject: meds

his Ann.

I was typing a reply and it disappeared,lol...here I go again.

it is hard for my daughter to avoid things she is allergic to for the most

part...she tested off the grid for dust and she is also allergic to trees,

grasses, pollen etc. other things also she can avoid like nickel, all nuts and

tree nuts and a few others. she recently had a test that showed she has a

partial immune deficiency..will find out more on that next Monday.

anyway I guess I wanted to see what else people were taking so I can research

and ask the dr about...seems better when i know what I am talking about at these

appts. thanks for the reply. jean

works for one person may or may not work for the next. Getting good control is

a matter of trial and error and knowing your triggers and how to avoid them

(which in some cases is much easier said than done depending on what the

triggers are).

hi Madeline.

yeah that is quite a list...my daughter has quite a list herself for the

different chronic diseases..hard to keep tabs on it all.

do you take vit d2 or 3? my dd was vit d deficient with a 12 on her blood

test...she made it to 30 on vit d3 and yesterday she got the results of labs and

she is at 78..woo hoo..this is on 5000 iu a day plus she is doing narrowband

uvb...Im just curious which you are taking because the d2 didnt seem to help my

dd.

my dh was just put on symbicort and my sister also...is this a newer med?

ok thanks for the list..gives me something to present to dd dr. I will do my

homework first. take care. jean

I'm limited to expired Intal, Cromolyn Sodium for inflammation, expired

Albuterol for a rescue inhaler, and my new dry powder Serevent Discus since I'm

allergic to the new green inhalers. The new pulmonologist says it's the

preservative and not the propellant that is most likely with my corn allergy. I

also take oral Singulair.

I have new nebulizer Cromolyn and Albuterol, but the specialist won't let me use

them until I have the lung function test so he can check me for allergic

reactions while in that controlled setting.

I am glad that there are meds that help but wish there were one or two that

would do the work of all the rest.
