Guest guest
, where do you live? Are you seeing a lung specialist? If you are seeing a Primary Care doctor, a normal doctor, find another doctor? Is this some doctor who specialises only in asthma? Or what? I personally would never want to do that. I would feel like that doctor was using me as a guinea pig for some testing. They have what they call a spirometer that they have you breath into, but it is no spray or substance. They just measure how much you breath in and out. Could you have misunderstood? Here in America, I have never heard of this being done before. And I have a lung specialist I see and a Primary Care doctor who never did the spray thing. Sandy King Abernathy _Abernathy@... Subject: asthma doctorTo: asthma Date: Thursday, 10 March, 2011, 17:43 Thanks for the welcome. There is an asthma center nearby but I have one concern. They do a new patient test that involves having you inhale a substance that would put you into an asthma attack to see if you actually have asthma. If you react, then they give you something to ease/stop the attack. Is that a typical test? Kind of scares me as I can be sensitive to some medications.------------------------------------
