Guest guest Posted June 17, 2010 Report Share Posted June 17, 2010 Hi Everyone, I didn't update everyone when was able to come home from the hospital, but now she needs to go back into the hospital. This is the letter I received this morning. " I got bad news at the doctor's office. I have to be admitted to the hospital (AGAIN) in the morning and I will have the first of two surgeries. My stump never did heal and it is infected down into the bone. They are going to amputate about 4 more inches of my leg and then leave it open for several days to treat it directly with antibiotics. They will then do another surgery to really wash it out again, and then they will close it up. I will be in the hospital awhile and then in rehab or back at Triumph, so I will be " committed " for several weeks they say. I will have Mason keep everyone updated. Please pray everything goes OK. I do not feel good about this surgery at all! " Once again, if you want to send a card, ask me for her address, and I will give you her home address, I just don't want to send it through the list.
