Guest guest
Casey - Sorry if this is totally repetitive, but I don't understand waiver's. I've never heard anyone mention waiver's except here on the list. Berkeley was denied SSI, which would have made her automatically eligible for MediCal. What's the difference between Medicaid and MediCal? I know that she would be considered legally blind. Her opthomologist says she sees fuzzy shapes at best with her contact lenses. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Michele Re: medicaid waiver Jeanne, That's the way it is in CA.. you can get a medicaid waver for MR (and tons of help) but not for medical problems unless you are blind (vision in best eye no better than 20/200 corrected).. Guest guest
, What there is in CA on medicaid wavers is covered by medi-cal. In this state you can only get it IF you are retarded (cognitively delayed) or blind. Aari doesn't qualify in CA because the one thing he doesn't have about CHARGE is colobomas. If you can get it my all means do so.. Also have you been in contact with your Regional Center ?? they will help out with VI instruction, OT and PT and the like. If I can help any hoiller.
