I don't know of any herb with a direct action on growth hormones, but

saponin rich Seronoa has the traditional indication 'failure to

thrive' and was regarded as a nutritive tonic. Tastes like rancid

soap though.

best wishes,

Guy

Presumably any malabsorption (gluten related or other causes) has been excluded?

It may be something worth investigating.

Hi bel

Check if there is any history of gluten intolerance or abnormal stools, lack

of hair growth?.

Fish oils spring to mind.

Good luck.

Subject: Poor Growth in a child

Hello everyone

A patient of mine has a five year old son who is not growing despite good

nutrition and nurture. His little three year old brother is now about to

overtake him in height and his endocrinologist wants to prescribe growth

hormone. My patient wants to know if there is any alternative. Does anyone

know of anything??

Many thanks

bel
