Guest guest
LOL That is awesome Crystal!!!! Be sure to forward a copy of the ad to your current Doc. ....Will you send me a link to your ad when you do it? Good Luck!!! FYI, as I am sure is no surprise to you, I also am having the same trouble getting my NS or Neuro to approve a new full MRI either. In fact, I NEVER have had a " full " head AND spine, only head and neck. And get this..my NS insists I have NO syrinx/SM. I had my decomp surg last Summer and nearly 75% of all my symptoms are back already. Again, best to you! I have a question and hope my friends here can help. Ok, first I am fortunate right now as to my insurance does not require referrels. I called my ins co to check if Dr Frim was in my network and he is. I was so happy as to my NS and neurologist just won't listen and I'm fed up as I know many of us are. So I wrote to his office and explained the situation, results of the few tests I could convince them to do and a long list of symptoms. Only to get a reply that I need a full MRI, which my docs refuse to do since they don't think this has anything to do with Chiari, and I have to have a referrel from my Neurologist, which he's not going to give, to see Dr. Frim. Needless to say, I was crushed again, but I'm not done. So for my question. I'm torn as to if I should go to Mayo Clinic in MN or TCI in NY. I wanted to know if anybody had any suggestions or info before I call either place. Anything would be of great help. I've read that TCI doesn't work with any ins. Is this true? And if so how hard is it to see them if that's the case. Thanks for all of your input. As always, everyone stays in my prayers and I'm going to do all I can do on my end to bring notice to our ongoing struggle to get people to listen. You guys may like this one. I'm taking an ad out in the weekend paper for a Dr. It may not work, but the money will be worth it to me if it gets anyone's attention that this is ridiculous that we can't even find a PCP to listen to us, much less a NS or neurologist. Pray that it gets some attention. A little is better than nothing. Thanks, Crystal.
