Guest guest
Hi Ann Barbara Griggs states that worms only flourish in an acid environment, so cutting out sugar will help. They hate certain foods and yes pumpkin seeds is one, and also raw carrots so she should eat plenty of these, especially first thing in the morning. She also suggests garlic or onion infusions also to be drunk first thing in the morning -uumh?! (A small grated onion or 3 - 4 cloves of garlic in a mug of boiling water, infuse overnight. Also garlic ointment around the anus every night (where they come out to breed) for a fortnight - the length of the worm breeding cycle. This information is from the Home Herbal my first herbal book and still useful! Hope this helps Verity

Guest guest
oh dear. if it hurts, don't peel it. and cover well with butter to slide it in! [nne Last] From: ukherbal-list [mailto:ukherbal-list ]On Behalf Of Ann Sent: 24 July 2009 13:05 To: ukherbal-list Subject: Worms in pregnancy Dear All Just to let you know that the garlic up the bum seems to be working though my patient told me it was absolute agony the first time. She seems to be getting used to it now and claims that one or two cloves have not come out! In any event there have been no more worm sightings. She had already adopted the dietary advice and I have also told her how to make garlic ointment in case of a re-occurrence. The only problem is that the smell of garlic exacerbates her morning sickness. Many thanks for the advice. Ann
