Guest guest
, I am keeping my fingers crossed for tonight! I really think that I am on to something though. Read my other post about oral HC wearing off in 4 hours. That seems to be an issue for some people on the adrenal group. Some of them need to dose in the middle of the night after their first dose wears off. I was going to order some isocort, and try it at night but maybe the topical route is the way for me to go at night since it seems to last longer than 4 hours for me. Guest guest
Kathy, How did you sleep last night after taking the HC? Any better? > > , > > I am keeping my fingers crossed for tonight! Guest guest
, I got two more good nights of sleep for a total of three great nights with the HC cream. Sat night I used 2 mg of HC cream and Sunday night I used 2.5 mg of HC cream. I also started adding some licorice to hopefully extend my cortisol. I am going to take 2.5 mg again tonight. Sunday night I used only 50 mg of 5-HTP instead of 100 mg of 5-HTP (plus regular dose of GABA) and still had good sleep. This has been the best sleep I have had in ages. My fan is no longer on the head of the bed on high it is on the floor on low. I am still using a pillow over my ear but I think that my be from habit. I think the key is to take enough so that those adrenalin zaps go away. I also started using a small dose of HC cream in the late afternoon/evening. I think I need little or no HC in the morning (maybe 1 mg), a small dose mid morning (2-3 mg), a larger dose around lunch (3 mg) and a small dose in the afternoon/evening (2 mg) plus the bedtime dose of 2.5 mg (for a regular day). Over the weekend I needed more because I was busy. I am trying to figure out the dosing better so that I do not feel the HC but only the positive effects instead. I am really happy about my good sleep. I just need to figure out the daytime HC dosing that works without feeling it going in. Kathy > > > > , > > > > I am keeping my fingers crossed for tonight!
