Guest guest Posted June 3, 2006 Report Share Posted June 3, 2006 Hi..it has been about three months since my last post but read your posts regularly..since my last post my husband has been hospitalized twice for low blood pressure readings and dehyration..he is getting more confused and wants me near him all the time..I do everything for him now except toilet..he has no appetite ,is always sleeping in the chair or car,has more word retreival problems..has had more frequent incontinence..Last night he had 3 more falls and is dizzy..his blood pressure is fine..he was up every 5 minutes last nightgoing to the bathroom to no avail(also has prostrate)..he will not let me bring him to the hospital..he is taking..Senemet,Exelon,Mitrazapine,Midodrine,Proscar Is this my new so called normal ...I am at wit,s end...He was DX LBD 2005 but they beleive he has had it since 2002 Fhanks,Meg Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest guest Posted June 3, 2006 Report Share Posted June 3, 2006 Thanks..(got it right this time)That had never crossed my mind...I must remember that with LBD we treat the other problems as they come along....we got through the day but he was in bed for most of it.. A UTI causes different symptons in an older person than it does in a younger one. Confusion is one of the main symptons. The way my Dad enuciated his words was different. I always said he talked like an old lady. Restlessness is another. Each person can be different. Guest guest Posted June 5, 2006 Report Share Posted June 5, 2006 Thanks for your reply...He wakes up dizzy and complained about it this morning..I have started to keep his morning dose of meds next bed and wake him early to take them...and then have him go back to sleep. Also have call into primary care to check him over...when he was hositalized last time his bp was 70....
