Hi ,

AAFB - acid and alcohol fast bacilli – the test used when there are sx

suggesting pulmonary TB. A positive test indicates a probable mycobacterial

infection and can show resistance. In his case they could tell that it was not

mycobacterium tuberculosis complex and that it was resistant to isoniazid.

Thanks,

Pamela
