Guest guest
WOW... Going into this group I did not know what to expect. I didn't expect how well everyone communicates to each other and how involved everyone is. It is so great to be able to read concerns other parents have and their amazing stories. Andi had her four month check up yesterday and it was great. She weighs 14 pounds and 6 ounces. This is her doctors first mosaic Down syndrome child. When her doctor first told us that Andi has been diagnosed with MDS we all did not know what that means. Since then we have done our research and so has her doctor. It is great to have a great doctor and this support group. A lot of my questions have been answered through other parents asking questions and through the IMDSA website. So I want to say thank you all for all of your great questions and support. It is amazing to me how many people volunteer their time to support other families. I am not sure if you all hear it enough but thank you. Adam, and Andi

Guest guest
Thank you so much for saying so! Years ago when we first began our group, it was just a little place for families to talk about MDS since they had such a hard time meeting others in their community with it. We instantly bonded and became a family. A couple years after that, I had received a picture frame during a surprise birthday party that Tim organized all by himself for me! The picture frame said " Family " at the top. I started thinking about all the pictures that I could put in this frame. and realized that the frame was not near big enough to hold my " family " So, instead I put this saying: Family isn't just who you are born into It is who you meet along the way! So... we have a VERY LARGE family, but we all love eachother very much! I am so glad that you are part of our family! Kristy Subject: Andi...
