Guest guest
If you want to abide by the 'rules' of the BBD, then lecithin is ok, (I have never been able to find lecithin that wasn't soy lecithin, and Ashton ok'd it), but the rest in your list are not. Oh, also vitamin E, which is usually derived from soy oil, (or suspended in it), is also ok. His explanation was that those two items are so processed to get to the point of being lecithin and E, that there is no legume lectin left in them. The same can't be said about the others. Guest guest
BBD is the Best Bet Diet, developed by Ashton, who is a Phd, (geologist), out of Canada. He did very heavy research into MS for his son who got it at the age of 17. His son is completely healthy now, although we all know that, when you catch the disease near the beginning, it's much easier to stop. I think that is akin to why just good diet, exercise, cleasing and supplements alone worked for me for awhile, but are not enough now. Here's the address of his site: http://www.direct-ms.org/bestbet.html Carol Ashton has MUCH great research and documentation on his site for why legumes, (as well as dairy and gluten), are bad for MS. > > what's BBD? trying to make sense of the discussion here. Guest guest
I personally try to stay away from soy products. A friend of mine was eating everything soy also. She was having horrible abdomen pain during monthly cycles that was unbearable. She was having irregular cycles, PMS, and just felt horrible. She was taking loads of supplements to help her feel better but was worried she had a tumor or something. I had ready about soy mimicking hormones and told her to go off all her soy for a month and see what happend. She did and she said she had the first normal monthly cycle that she could remember in a long time. ALl the symptoms went away. That was enough to make me a believer and never have bought tofu again, and I love tofu. Retail Investor wrote: > what's BBD? trying to make sense of the discussion here.
