Guest guest
Oncologists seem to vary a lot then. Only this week had the OK from a local oncologist to start a treatment regime which included supplements turmeric and green tea, rhodiola and quercetin - doses a la Chanchal Cabrera's protocol so they are large. Also a herb med which included Astragalus, Silybum, Phytolacca etc 10mls t.d.s. Patient on hefty chemo with 3 drugs IV every 2 weeks for bowel primary, liver and lung mets. Oncologist also OK with patient having lymphatic drainage too. Helen re herbs in chemo Hi Sally, hope you're keeping well! I use the book " Herb Nutrient and Drug Interactions " a lot. It's the book with the herb section written by Jonathon Treasure. I find it very useful. Although, sadly, just recently, during my best friends chemo for her bowel cancer, her oncologist was not convinced by the information I sent her about Astragalus and Eleuthero. She did at least read it and reply to me personally, which was great - she felt that there just wasn't enough research about the potential benefits or interactions (by which I assume she means, negative interactions). However, she was happy for my friend to have either acupuncture or Reiki.... Best wishes and hope to see you soon Sue Salmon, Huddersfield
