Guest guest
Hi , So do you still ride horses? I have a horse ranch, I always found that when I was really stiff and having a hard time walking, my horse riding would help me alot. Of course falling off would not be a good thing to try to fix you back!!! I would get to a chiropractor or acupuncturist if you can. -- Re: a possible cure??!? i've never heard of him, but i think he may be on to something.... a few years ago, i fell off my horse, hard, and when i got up, i was walking noticably better! my friend even said something about it. i thought about chiropractic at the time, then promptly forgot! i may look into it again. the improvement only lasted the rest of that evening.... michelle ---
Guest guest
There is a town in Souther Calif that would let him stay outside the hotel. The whole town is horse people, they have hitching rails everywhere. If you are sitting alot in the car another good reason to get some back adjustments Do you get to exercise at all during the day? -- Re: a possible cure??!? hi gina, no, i sold my horse last year. i travel for work and none of the hotels would let him stay! it's a long story, but it was a lifetime- dream-come-true that i had him in the first place! no, i really tried not to fall off, but you know, those things happen! i'm investigating chiropractors/acupuncture currently. with all the travel, it's hard. michelle
Guest guest
Hi , Riding horses is really good exercise and also fo gelping you to walk better. I knew this lady who could barely walk to her horse and after riding for a half hour she could walk without a cane and could even squat. I could not squat but for awhile I could walk better, I stopped riding when my back started hurting rea;;y bad, I should have gone to a Chiropracte r then but I didn't think about it then. Guest guest
Hi , I forgot you live out east. That must be really hard on you traveling like that. Are you able to eat good when you are in hotels? I just got back from a short trip again and no matter how hard I try to eat good, I just can't. I will not starve and sometimes you just have to stop somewhere. I never feel as good when I get back from traveling, I like routine and its just really messes with that. I don't exercise on purpose, but because I have to feed 30 horses every day at least 2x and sometimes 3, I do alot of walking. I also teach riding and I like to walk with the kids as I teach. I don't ride very often in the winter but come spring and I will be riding again. Just find something that you like to do that involves movement and then it won't be so hard to motivate. -- Re: a possible cure??!? too bad i never got assigned there! lol! but trucking him there wouldn't have been too fun, either! depending on where i'm assigned, the only travel time is the initial getting there, then going home. while i'm there, i stay in a hotel. assignments generally last 3-6 months, so far. then, it's only normal commute time to work... other than daily walking, around at work, not specifically for exercise, i don't get too much exercise. i keep telling myself i need to, but can't seem to find the motivation.... michelle ---
